Thin ceramic shells
Veneers in Herne
Veneers are wafer-thin ceramic shells bonded to the front of a tooth. They correct colour, shape, small gaps and chipped edges.
Substance-friendly
Much less tooth structure is removed than for a crown.
Colour-stable
Ceramic does not discolour from coffee, tea or red wine.
Individually made
Each veneer is produced for your tooth in our laboratory.
How the treatment works
- 1
Planning
Photos, digital scan and a discussion of shape and colour.
- 2
Mock-up
You try the planned shape before anything is prepared.
- 3
Preparation
A minimal amount of enamel is prepared and an impression is taken.
- 4
Bonding
The finished veneers are bonded to the teeth.
Are veneers right for you?
Veneers work well for discoloured, worn, slightly misaligned or chipped front teeth. They are not the right answer for heavy grinding, severe misalignment or untreated gum disease.
In those cases we discuss aligners, a night guard or periodontal treatment first, and only then aesthetics.
