Tooth-coloured and durable
Fillings in Herne
A filling closes a cavity and rebuilds the shape of the tooth. We work with tooth-coloured composite and, for larger defects, ceramic inlays.
Invisible repair
Composite is matched to the colour of your tooth.
Adhesive technique
The material bonds to the tooth and stabilises the remaining structure.
Ceramic for large defects
Inlays and onlays restore chewing surfaces precisely.
How the treatment works
- 1
Diagnosis
Examination and X-ray to see the extent of the decay.
- 2
Removal of decay
The affected tissue is removed under anaesthetic.
- 3
Restoration
The cavity is filled in layers or an inlay is prepared.
- 4
Polishing
The bite is checked and the surface polished.
Composite or ceramic?
Small and medium cavities are restored directly with composite in one appointment. Larger defects, especially on chewing surfaces, last longer with a ceramic inlay.
We tell you which option is realistic for your tooth and what each costs before we start.
