Children's dentistry in Herne
Our children's area has its own entrance, its own rooms and a team trained to make the first dental visits a positive experience.
Own kids world
A separate area designed for children rather than a normal surgery.
Playful introduction
The first appointment is about getting to know us, not about treatment.
Anaesthesia when needed
For extensive treatment we offer general anaesthesia with a specialist anaesthetist.
How the treatment works
- 1
Getting to know us
Your child explores the room, the chair and the instruments.
- 2
Check-up
A gentle examination of teeth and gums.
- 3
Prevention
Cleaning, fluoride and fissure sealing where useful.
- 4
Treatment
If treatment is needed, we explain each step in child-friendly words.
When should the first visit take place?
Ideally when the first milk teeth appear, and then at regular intervals. Early visits build trust long before any treatment is required.
Milk teeth matter: they guide the permanent teeth into place and affect speech and chewing, so decay in milk teeth should always be treated.
